In addition to the new bonus championship with five brand new tracks to compete in, there are many other interesting updates. Changes have been made to the missed buoys disqualification system to allow the first steps in competition to be smoother for newcomers including local split-screen play with friends and family. We have further expanded the roles of the boss characters in all of the three major single player campaigns, to reveal their personalities and how they feel if they get beaten by the player or if they stand tall and victorious in the finals!

- Players entering any of the three main campaigns, as well as the new Emma-Nellie Challenge, will now encounter the personality of each unique reigning champion. Fight your way through all of the cups to face them in the finals.
Changes have been made to the missed buoy disqualification system to allow the game to be even more easily accessible for beginners
- The first cup in the Runabout and Ski division now allows for 6 misses before disqualifying the racer on the 7th miss. (Up from 2)
- All the subsequent cups in both divisions allows for 4 misses before disqualifying the racer on the 5th miss. (Up from 2)
- When setting up a custom game, players can now choose between 1 and 6 allowed misses before disqualification.
- Please note: No changes have been made to the time trial disqualification rules.
