Das Action-Rollenspiel spielt auf dem weit abgelegenen Planeten Erion. Dort kämpfen die letzten Überlebenenden der Menschheit gegen die Invasions-Truppen der einstmals von Menschen erschaffenen künstlichen Intelligenz A.I. und ihrer mordhungrigen Maschinen, die es sich zum Ziel gesetzt haben, ihre Schöpfer zu vernichten.

Neben der brillianten 3D-Grafik fasziniert das Spiel vor allem durch innovative Features im Bereich des Gameplay:
So gibt es z.B. kein traditionelles Klassensystem – vielmehr wird eine Spezialisierung des Charakters durch ein ausgeklügeltes Spezialitemsystem garantiert.

In Einzel-, Teammissionen und riesigen Schlachten kann jeder Spieler seine Fähigkeiten unter Beweis stellen und auch das Gemeinschaftserlebnis kommt nicht zu kurz: Ein komplexes Clan- und Söldner-System sorgt dafür, dass man als Spieler schnell Anschluss finden kann, genauso so gut kann man allerdings auch ohne Clan bei den Schlachten mitmischen.

das spiel fühlt sich unfertig an, in allen belangen! angefangen von der bewegung des spielers über die explosionen, welche unspektakulär ausfallen, bis hin zur inzenierung. es gibt kein intro, man kann nicht springen und es hackelt alles irgendwie, flüssig ist anders. n bissel lieblos dahingeschludert, so wirkt das auf mich. da hatte wohl jmd keinen bock mehr das weiter zu entwickeln. das is quasi noch ne alpha! finger weg.

Lustiges Spiel vorallem für fans des Original Browsergames AI-WAR. Spielt sich für die early access Version auch ausgereift.
Da regelmäßig Patche kommen werde die Entwickler dem Spiel vermutlich auch schnell die kleineren fehler ausbügeln.

Funny game good Charakter Control, perfect for fans of the Browsergame AI-WAR.
Good playeble for an early access version. Would buy it again.

So, I gave this game a chance despite the negative reviews while it was on sale for $1. Sadly I think it deserves the negative reaction.

There are some good points. The artwork is good for the price. There are some decently designed levels.

The negatives were very frustrating however. The biggest one is the control, which is key in an action game. On the default settings the camera would jump all over the place if I got the cursor too near to the edge of the screen.... which happened almost constantly making the game naseau inducing to play even for the 2d perspective as the camera jerks around. I went to the options to turn the mouse sensitivity way down, which helped with the camera jerkiness, but then made it take too long to aim at the enemies. This is on top of your squad members, which barely seem to respond to your commands. Now the squad members don't get themselves killed and can help, but again, the control of them just did not feel satisfying.

Finally, several times I lost the game having no idea what happened that I lost, because my team was intact. The mission objectives are there, but I feel there must be something more than that going on that leads to mission ends.

TL;DR Good art, might be decent design, but bad controls and random fail states means that I also must join others in not recommending this game.

Top-down view scifi shooter with nice graphic. Recommend on sale only to those who love this kind of games.

You play as a squad leader with up to 4 companions which you can order to follow you, hold the position or use their special item. The special items are for example area of effect shields usable by the entire squad, area of effect healing station etc. You can also change the entire squad weapon and gear like different armor providing you extra health.

Your squad is fighting against robots who are killing everyone who they spot. Your goal is to destroy those robots and protect your colony.

In the world there is not much things you can interact with, basically you are following waypoints and shooting on the enemy while trying to take care of friendly fire. You may realize that you are holding a moving key and LMB at 99% during the game so it became very boring after a while. You cannnot set any option during playing - you have to set your mouse sensitivity, controls, sounds etc. in main menu. If you need to adjust anything during playing, you have to escape the level, escape the mission list, go to main menu, settings, keyboard, set your sensitivity, go back to menu, mission list, play the level again from its beginning and...if you realize that you need to adjust your sensitivity just a little bit again, you have to repeat all theese steps again.

A.I. Invasion is futuristic top-down shooter that put you in role of squad leader trying to fight off alien thingies, and save the mankind.

Although it is in early access game looks promissing, I cant say it looks great at this moment, but it is decent.
Graphic is fairly nice, textures and models looks moderate, not great but its not crap, same goes with visual effects shooting and explosions.

Game has good pumped up music, but I do find lacking some voice acting and sound of any interactions, there are none at this point, and I really dont like to read.

As for gameplay quite few things could impove, such as cutscenes, bigger levels and more variety of enemies. There are some minor path finding issues ( character floating), not that it affect general playing but it is visible from time to time.
Would also recommend implementing multiplayer or at least local co-op, Its not very smart shooting and blowing up aliens all alone. ^^
Cool thing is equipement managment that allow you to change gear on you and your team, and very smart ai, basicly your team wont let you down, you're the only one who can screw up the mission :)

Overall;
I can rate game at current state only 5/10 there is space for more improvements, as I said it has potentional to be great and fun game if developers are kind to polish it little more.
If you want to support developers buy it, otherwise wait to get out of early access.

You are the last hope for mankind to reclaim the planet system. In this futuristic top-down shooter, you will be commanding a unit of Special Forces consisting of up to 6 characters to achieve your ultimate goal!

As this game is on early access, you will be able to play 9 missions which will consist of exploring, defending, escorting a convoy and of course plenty of frantic fighting action. As you progress through the mission you will be able to customize your party of soldiers with different weapons, armour and special items. I would strongly recommend to get at least 2 healing stations within the party and you will thank me for it! Well, please keep this in the back of your mind. If you misjudge your target and accidently shoot your soldiers, your will be drawing down their health. FRIENDLY FIRE ON!

For the foes, quite a good selection there. From the mighty Mech (robot) to these little pests of spider robots who will come out at you in huge waves. Remember, FRIENDLY FIRE!

The controls are mostly Mouse and keyboard in this version but it would seem a gamepad option will be available later on. Also, make sure you familiarise yourself with the individual team order. Master them and it will help you to get to the end of your mission in one piece.

The graphics are well polished, the levels are nicely designed so far and the futuristic atmosphere is well created. The final version will have up to 20 missions on different planets and a big armada of enemies.

The games runs well for an early access and the developers are on the ball to rectify any issue you might have. I really look forward to the final version.

A.I. Invasion is a top-down shooter that has you and your squad of soldiers completing different tasks and killing a load of mech robots to reclaim the world.

I'm definitely looking forward to this game coming out of early access over the next few months :D I've only played the first 2 missions at the time of writing this review but so far here are the pros and the cons of the game in my opinion:

Pros:
Smooth Gameplay.
A lot of action.
Well structured levels.
Nice graphics.
Good price.
It has an objective marker on the map so you know where to go during missions.

Cons:
When in the middle of an objective the map won't display the objective marker which left me exploring a friendly base for like 15 minutes thinking it was the enemy base and I didn't have a clue that the objective was in the opposite direction.

I've edited this review as there was a couple more cons which the developer kindly cleared up for me in a reply to this review.

This review is based only off the first 2 levels in the game. I recommend this game as I enjoy it a lot but it needs new content quickly otherwise it won't carry a good amount of enjoyment for long.
