Tip: if you want to tackle Project Helios: you activate skills through objects you find, so turn that camera and look everywhere. Don't leave the map before having explored it in detail.
The story is OK, dialogues are bad and not spoken, sound and music is good. Artwork and lore are excellent. Encountered no bugs.

This game feels like it was trying to be the next Wasteland or Shadowrun but falls flat without the RPG elements, and the sense of progression that comes with it, but also penalizes you by making the start of every combat pre-scripted. Your characters will always begin in a pre-determined spot no matter how or what angle you approach from, and that spot is usually going to disadvantageous.
It feels like playing a chess-master challenge. There is little room for variation or deviation from the way the creators of the game intended for you to play out each combat. For this reason, calling this a tactical game seems a bit deceptive, because tactics are rather non-existent, just a limited list of options. Angle of fire, cover, and range all feel like unfinished products. There's really only two levels of accuracy, 50% and 100%. The cover system only works in a straight line, so an enemy that is even one grid space to the side will have a an unhindered shot on your characters, and most weapons have range that reaches across the combat map.
As for the technical aspects of the game, there are only two options in settings, audio volume and language. That's it. So if you're like me and you find inverted controls for camera rotation to be counter-intuitive, then you're stuck with it.
The ambient music is actually atmospheric and haunting, but is quickly replaced by the same repetitive and grating song once you enter combat. As combat dominates the majority of the game, you will quickly learn to despise it. For some reason I find this more disappointing than anything else, because when I first heard the background music it set the tone for a potentially lethargic and tragic story like This War of Mine, with a very simple but deep story, but delivered a meandering combat romp with a story that falls apart at every point instead.
Story-telling was the final straw that got me to write this review. It may be because it's foreign, but the writing feels like all instances of Who, What, When, Where, and Why were all filled in with complete randomization. I still can't understand how the prologue lead to the second mission, it felt like it was an unnecessary plot point that the characters could have completely avoided. The story is only propelled from there by the power of NPCs being omniscient, and knowing everything that you did despite no survivors being left alive to tell the tale.

The characters and the evolution of their relationships are interesting and tloved the setting, can't wait to know more things about its universe!
Even though some battle songs were a bit too intense, the music in general is charming and matches well with the environment.
The fulgor mechanics are very interesting and grant an extra level of depth to the game.
If you are looking for a lighter experience than XCOM but as engaging I strongly recommend it.

Is easy to see that the developers have given everything to make this game a very good one. The plot is incredibly good, the mechanics agroup all what you wish and even more in a strategy game, and the levels are really immersive (I love the cold effect in the screen).
I really recommend to play it, this game absolutely deserves the price that it has.

First impression was medicore. Where is skills? Inventroy? Why battles are so not random?
But second impression was better. Inventory was introduced later, same as skills (but this is connected).
What was good from start - rather heavy dramatic plot, it is not sweet and nice game :)
Pros:
- World, although it should be more shown to us, more lore in notes, books, dialogues.
- Characters are interesting, with theyr own goals, motivations, background.
- Music - I heard that some people don't like it. I like very much - it's something a bit new in games like this.
- High level of difficulty of some battles - they are really challenging.
Cons:
- Graphic is not bad, but not enough different in locations. Palette is pastel gray with variations. Characters maybe are detailed, but we don't have bog zoom to look.
- Battles are specific - starting positions are fixed, damage are fixed (no random values, no criticals).
- Short! About 10 hours constant gameplay.
Overall:
Buy for good price.

Disappointed after the very first steps in the game... Again, we're given an incomplete game... more, it's seems an experiment of some sort where you're patience is put on test.
Movement is ridiculus with WASD only and the fixed camera (4 views) that add challenge to a boring and repetitive fight system that only consists in walk and shoot, with cover giving 50% of changes to hit or get hit and that's it...
Inventory system gives you very little customization option and still is made in a way that make it cumberstone and intricate to manage. I don't know if this evolves in later game and I don't think I'll want to find out.
This game isn't finished, don't buy it and wait for future development if is going to be any...

Follow our curator for similar games
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/TBS XCOM lite + skill tree - depth = 8 people join forces to explore various locations and tactical encounters with a common goal. Battles are fairly straightforward and could use a bit more depth.

Let me be very clear on this: it is not that this game lacks polishing, it lacks everything. The combat couldn't be more simplistic - it is just walk and or shoot, and there's absolutely NO tactical element to it. No customization. No engagement with any of the characters. (There ain't even a graphic setting option!).
The music is something borrowed from a (bad) atari game from the early 80's - and there's only one - and it will annoy the hell out of you. Although the art project is quite beautiful, the actual graphics are awful with everything looking exactly the same: you can't distinguish the types of enemies from their looks. The gameplay mechanics are a mess: clunky movements, no clear distinction between elements of the scenario (it's all the same either half or full cover), no range distinct elements, nothing.
I would not recommend it.

After playing for 1 hour I already don't want to play anymore.
Moving the characters outside of combat is really clunky and boring. In addition the Objectives are all hidden in some corner, blending in to the background as much as possible. I spent about 10 min to find a random can that I had to pick up, hidden in a corner looking like about 10 other cans in the adjacent rooms.
The combat is also very infuriating. There is so little cover, that you can't even place half of your people behind something.
In addition to this, the AI will hard focus anyone who somemuch as receives the slightest of scratches, even if this means:
Shooting through 3 different solid objects.
Ignoring the Massive guy with a mace bashing your head in.
Shooting through 3 people to instakill your squishy, who due to bad level design can only be placed in half cover.
And the engagement zones are so small, that I wonder why I even have ranged weapons. If I wanted to I could just walk up to any enemy with any character. In 1 hour of gameplay I had one engagement that was larger than a room. ONE.
YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLAY COMBAT SEGMENTS DUE TO RNG, as even loosing one guy is an instant loss.
sometimes you even have to suffer through the awefull cutscenes again and again.
The Music is all ocer the place. One moment you will have some misterious soundtrack trying its best to give the bad levels a hint of atmosthere, only to be destroyed instantly by a combat encounter featuring some of the worst electrobeat i have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
Overall I would give this game a 3/10 for not crashing and having any obvious bugs.
Very heavily not recommended.
