So, buckle up and get ready to take on the ghoulish invaders in Hellbreach: Vegas, where darkness and danger lurk around every neon-lit corner!
Where did the idea for Hellbreach’s unique demons come from and why was Las Vegas chosen as the setting for the game?
Ash:
Creating Hellbreach: Vegas has been such an interesting experience for me. It has felt like I was exploring both the spooky side of the supernatural and the lively atmosphere of Sin City. I was really inspired by the White Walkers from Game of Thrones and the Frost Giants from Thor. I just loved their icy look and how huge and powerful they were. That's why I decided to make a demonic army that had those same qualities, so players would have an awesome enemy to go up against.
The game's storyline revolves around the demons' desire to escape their dark and cold existence in Hell. With this in mind, I set out to find the perfect location for them to flee to, eventually settling on Las Vegas. The city's warm climate and reputation for vice and excess made it an ideal contrast to the darkness of Hell, providing an engaging backdrop for the game.
Integrating elements of Las Vegas into the gameplay was an exciting challenge. The use of slot machines and perk cards had always appealed to me, and there was no better place to incorporate them than in the heart of the gambling capital. The bright neon lights and the thrill of the gamble became essential aspects of the game's art style, immersing players in the vibrant world of Sin City.
As players progress through the game, they will have the opportunity to test their luck with the slot machines and collect valuable perk cards to help them defeat the demonic invaders. The stark contrast between the dark, cold Hell and the bustling, warm atmosphere of Las Vegas not only enhances the gameplay but also adds depth to the game's narrative.
Developing Hellbreach: Vegas has been an interesting and fulfilling experience for me as a creator. I hope players will not only enjoy the gameplay but also appreciate the energetic gameplay and the environment that has been crafted.
In conclusion, Hellbreach: Vegas is a game that began with the influence of the icy White Walkers and the imposing Frost Giants, and it has evolved into a world where the fight against darkness is waged beneath the dazzling lights of Las Vegas.
